1st time ordering anything. Tried the tips. They were meaty and tender, but seriously lack the smokey flavor one expects from ribs. And the sauce was not up to par. It was sweet and unrecognizable. They would have done better if they bought BBQ sauce from the local grocer. From where I come from, the bread goes on the bottom of the order to absorb the fat from the fries and meat. It's difficult to develop a unique style and be different with this type of business. Folks expect a certain flavor and presentation. It has to at least meet that, not less. I applaud the effort. Ribs must be smokey. Would I recommend? You're on your own with this one. Besides, they're closed on Sunday and Monday.

This was my first time ordering. Needless to say I expected more based off of the reviews. I ordered a slab of ribs and a large fry for about 26 bucks. The ribs were gross and left a nasty taste in my mouth. There was a smokey/lighter fluid like taste to them and the fries were on the soggy side. I doubt if I return. My night ended with eating noodles. :( this place is practically off the highway which was easy access for me coming from work. I live too far to return the rest and doubt if I would want to try anything else.

Uncle John's BBQ joint is tucked away in a strip mall. The menu was larger than I expected. Our family tried the baby back ribs, hot links, rib tips and pulled pork sandwich. All dishes come with white bread (old school), slaw and fries. We tried 2 different sauces---the medium and the hot. The hot was really hot. Both were good. I really liked the bbq here. The baby backs were moist and smokey. The rib tips were meaty and flavorful. I loved the hot links. The line was long and I had to wait 45 minutes to get the food to go. This is a rock solid bbq joint. This is a triple d place for sure.

Pretty extensive menu. You are guaranteed to find something that you like. I tried the ribs, rib tips, turkey tips, red hots, fried okra, and hush puppies. Everything was great. However, I strongly suggest you do not order the hot barbeque sauce. Stay with the mild and have it placed on the side. If you plan to eat in, there are only a few tables to choose from.

When you deal with food you need to understand the seriousness regarding food allergies. I usually frequent with place 2 to 3 times a week. I am allergic to wheat and always tell them no bread and no sauce. Today I get home and they put 4 pieces of bread on top of my burnt black hotlinks. Perhaps the cook thinks he is being funny or a smart a-- putting the bread on my food. If I eat wheat it could make me deathly ill. For that fact alone I knew I could not eat the hotlinks. In addition to that all 6 and it should have been 7 hotlinks with a jumbo order were burnt black. I threw the crap in the garbage. Apparently they don't need my business The food is good sometimes but never consistent. Shen I told the owner before the food was burnt he didn't believe me but I have sat waiting for my food and heard at least 2 other people come in and complain about getting burnt food. You try to solicit black businesses but the truth of the matter is they don't know how to properly run a business. Look up Celiac Diease and understand about contamination of wheat before you kill someone . Terrible really disappointed with this place.
